In short
- We don't collect, store or share any of your data. We have no servers.
- There is no account, no sign-up and no email.
- There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and no third-party code that does any of these.
- The app works fully offline. It only goes online if you choose to share with your partner, and then only through your own iCloud.
Who we are
Milk Moments is an app for keeping track of breastfeeding, bottle feeds and pumping, made by FORFEX BV ("we"). If you have any questions about this policy, write to us at milkmomentsapp@gmail.com.
What the app stores, and where
To show your history, count your feeds and suggest which breast to offer next, Milk Moments saves what you log:
- Feeds at the breast: start and end time, which breast, and any pauses.
- Bottle feeds: the time and the amount.
- Pumping sessions: start and end time, which breast or both, and the amount collected.
- Any notes you add.
All of this is stored on your iPhone, inside the app. It is never sent to us, and we have no way to see it. The only exception is partner sharing, if you choose to use it.
Widgets, Lock Screen and Siri
While a feed or pumping session runs, the app shows a timer on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island using Apple's Live Activities. The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show the time since the last feed and which breast is next.
To make this work, the app keeps a small summary (when the last feed ended, the breast that's next and any running session) in a storage area on your iPhone that only Milk Moments and its widgets can read. Siri, Shortcuts and Control Center buttons run inside the app on your device.
You can turn Live Activities off at any time in Settings › Milk Moments, and remove the widgets like any other.
Sharing with your partner
If you choose "Share with partner" and invite someone, your sessions are copied to your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, in a private space that only you and the people you invite can access. Your partner's app reads and adds sessions there through their own iCloud account. This is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; we can't see or access this data.
You can see who has access, remove people or stop sharing at any time under "Manage sharing" in the app. When you stop sharing, the shared copy is removed from your iCloud, and each phone keeps the sessions it has. Until you share, nothing leaves your iPhone.
Backups
Like most apps, the app's data is included in your iPhone's backups if you have iCloud Backup or computer backups turned on. Those backups are managed by Apple or your computer under your own settings, not by us.
What we don't do
- We don't collect personal information, usage data, diagnostics or location.
- We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
- We don't sell or share data, because we never receive any.
Deleting your data
You can delete a single session by swiping left on it, or from its edit screen. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your iPhone for good. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children
Milk Moments is made for parents and caregivers. It doesn't collect information from anyone, including children.
Health information
Milk Moments is a tracking tool, not a medical device, and it doesn't give medical advice. If you have questions about feeding your baby, talk to your midwife, a lactation consultant or your doctor.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
